The IMD-2000 radar sensor with intelligent µC preprocessing unit detects moving objects, seperates them by speed and measures speed, direction and range of targets. This motion sensor with compact design offers additional functionality by providing the distance information. This allows detections to be filtered by the distance between object and radar antenna. The detection range can therefore be tailored to suit the application and the distance information can be used for triggering functions based on the location of the object.
